The CFC has a Graduate Project Coordinator, Director,  Assistant Director, and a Marketing Intern. The program is advised by the Dean of Students Office in conjunction with Nusenda Credit Union.

Greg Golden- Associate Dean of Students

greg photoGolden has been at UNM since 2007. He started as a student, served as a new student orientation leader, resident advisor, and involved student. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he accepted a position as a graduate assistant for the associate vice president for Student Life. In 2012, he took a brief hiatus from UNM to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he earned his master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs in 2014. Greg Golden serves a faculty advisor for the Center for Financial Capability.

 

Solomon Gbara- Director, Center for Financial Capability

untitled-design-1.pngSolomon is a dedicated and driven sophomore at UNM pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in finance. He joined the Center in April 2023 as the Student Director and has since demonstrated a strong work ethic and a passion for learning and growth. Through his work with the Center, Solomon has enhanced his soft skills in professional speaking and deepened his knowledge of finance. He is committed to using his skills and knowledge to uplift others and make a positive impact in his community.
  

 

Michael Martinez- Graduate Project Coordinator, Center for Financial Capability

untitled-design-3.pngMichael is a first-year MBA student who recently completed his undergraduate program in Finance. Michael has worked with the CFC for the last two years, previously serving as the Assistant Director from Fall 2021 to Spring 2023. He currently works with the Center as the Graduate Assistant, providing support to the Directors through various business operations, including campus relationship management, procurement, and strategic planning.

 

Ria Schultz- Assistant Director, Center for Financial Capability

She began serving as Assistant Director at the UNM Center for Financial Capability in October 2023. In this role, Ria has found fulfillment in empowering fellow students to build financial literacy. By connecting with Associated Students of UNM and various campus groups, she has expanded the Center's networks for greater outreach across the student body. Ria brings expertise in finance and passion for capability-building. She is dedicated to leveraging her knowledge and skills to advance the financial wellbeing and success of the diverse UNM community.

 

Kaylee Wnek- Marketing Assistant, Center for Financial Capability

untitled-design-2.pngKaylee is a junior graduating in the Spring of 2025. She is majoring in Business with a concentration in Marketing and minoring in Psychology. During her time at UNM, she has worked in a variety of different marketing positions such as Marketing Chair for her sorority, Chi Omega, Marketing Director for Lobos for Wishes, and has served on the elections board for ASUNM. Kaylee hopes to continue her work after college by entering the world of sports media and PR.
